Foster 6

We've named our new foster Laney Boggs, but she's less of a dog and more of a small black bear. She's stout - part Rotteweiler. I like to think the other part is Bernese Mountain Dog. Every morning, when I let her out of her crate, she crawls into my lap... all 60 lbs. of her. She's got a little growing to do yet, I think.

Plus, Gracie Ann (finally) got adopted!

Riley has actually been living with my dad for the last month and a half. We're getting him back as a result of my dad moving, along with a miniature schnauzer named Casey. They're best of buds... so we'll see how it works out. He's been doing great at my dad's...but he's been an outside dog with acreage to run on. If this doesn't work... I don't want to think about it! It's going to be tough... but we'll figure something out! Laney Boggs is a cutie!!!

this dog makes me ache -- she looks so much like our Izzy. (june 2006 on my blog to see a picture of beloved Izzy -- r.i.p.)

Izzy was 130 lbs on a fat day -- between 110 and 120 when we kept regular dog park hours. Smartest dog I ever owned. She watched my kids in the yard and would come get me when there were signs of trouble. Lassie had nothing on my dog.

She was a German rottie/lab mix (apparently there is an American Rottie and A German kind??? That's what the guy said about her mom being so big compared to the rottie's I knew).
This foster dog kind of has that lab snout, but I see the fuzz of the mountain dog too.

I see this is from February -- did she get adopted?

Yes! As a matter of fact, Laney Boggs has been adopted. (She's been one of my favorites... even though she ate my ottoman.)

Oh, Izzy ate our couch -- once. That was the crazy thing, you had to teach her a thing one time and she got it. Too bad she figured it out on the couch and not one of the crappy chairs.

She could have done so much more, but we ran out tricks to teach her.

I'm glad this dog got adopted -- they are lucky folk.
